Been working to set up my 4 Link I bought off of E-gay. Trouble is it came with no instructions and I haven't done one of these before. I have my truck set up at ride hieght and the axle welded so it won't move around. I know the axle bracket should be mounted with the bottom part parellel to the pinion or both at 0.

My question is how high do I mount the Chassis Bracket in relatrionship to the rear end? I.E should the intitial installation be made with the bottom tubes level? Or should the rear bracket holes be centered and follow the center line of the rear axle or, something else. Below is what I am working with. Note that I will have to make some extensions to weld to my cross member and the rear brackets and I have some 2X4 3/16'ths wall that should do the trick? Just don't know what the rear bracket hieght should be.

Make it so the lower 4 bar is level at ride height.

  3. I think it depends on what you are planning to use the truck for, How much horsepower you plan to run and how hard/soft you want the chassis to hit the tire. In other words the location of the frame bracket is what allows you to control the angle the bars are installed at there by controling the location of the "instant center". Most likely for a low horsepower, never raced street car, the bars can be installed level and parallel to each other at ride hieght. The farther the "Instant center" is in front of the car the softer the leave.... the closer to the rear end the more violent the leave. You can Google "Instant Center" at wikipedia.

Excellent work you are doing there... looks Good !!

Thanks but they are a little different and I had those instructions but they are for welding up to their chassis for the most part. The C2017 Diagram dimensions are all over the page not sure if it's my computer or their drawing.

Thank you for the inputs I guess I'll weld the bracket so the lower bar is Parelell.

Also was told adjust to a 2-3 degrees down for an unloaded pinion angle and assumes a 0 degree under load.
