I'm pulling my rear end tommrow for the rebuild and install of air ride but I also got a rear disk kit for my 9". The kit I got is the ford exploder conversion. My question is what else do I need to change for this kit to work, like the booster...ext? The car is a 66 thunderbird converitble.

  3. i'm not familiar with your kit , what does the manufacturer recommend you do? you will probably need a dual master cylinder to match up with your brakes. what do you have for front brakes?

Take a look at corvette it has twin cylinders and made for dual disc.

  6. I don't think the Vette master cylinder will bolt to the Ford pedal bracket so I suggest you look at a 70's era master Cylinder for a Mustang with 4-wheel Disc brakes. I would also say, techniquely you need to change the rear brake line from the master cylinder to a 3/16 diameter line.
