Would anyone have an idea what it would cost to transport a car (about 1800 pounds) that is a ch***is and body and fenders from California to minnesota?

Probably more than that. Shippers costs a lot more when the vehicle is non-op.

  4. there is a guy here in Minnesota named Milt that does a lot of car hauling , he hauled a `40 coupe in for me and the remains of a 36 3-window from me to another hamber in west virginia , plus several cars for friends...and is probably the most reasonable guy around you will find if you are not in a hurry. i can't find his phone number right now . if you PM 34cpe5w or ***us on here they may have his number

Might be cheaper if you made some arrangements with the seller and you rented a Uhaul from his house to yours. You fly to his house, he takes you to pickup the uhaul you reserved. You 2 load it up and you drive back home with the parts.

Thanks for the info guys......looking at a 28 dodge 5 window and thought it would be a great car to do with a 291 hemi I ran accross.....knowing that the mopar stuff is not as plentiful as the early ford stuff, have to kind of think on it?
I had a 30/31 ford tudor project a few years back, but had to sell because of a bump in the road......but have looked hard at the dodges and make a unique looking rod!!

Is the 28 dodge stuff pretty scarce, meaning windsheild frames, garnish moldings and so on?
The body has all basic sheetmetal....grill shell, fenders doors, but wondering if the missing stuff is close to impossible to come accross?
I guess that is the rarity of the dodges, but looks like would make nice cae with 4" chop already done......would a 291 hemi be a decent choice for power, I know they are a little more exspensive to rebuild, but just do not want to build a cookie cutter car if ya know what I mean.......thanks for the help!!!

Yesterday, New Years day I loaded one of my steel 32 roadster pkg cars (body, ch***is etc.) into a Reliable Auto transport that was hauling the car from South Central Nebraska To Orange California and the bill was 1346.00.

  12. Check the weather channel

I was in Gretna, NE for New Years Eve & New Years Day
    It was 15 below.

Omaha, NE had 24 inches of snow in December (a record)
They have spent over 2 million in snow removal in
December alone & just declared a 'snow emergency'
to obtain state & federal funding for future plowing.

The current artic air m*** from Canada has some
    forecasters predicting another 1977 winter.

I had a call from a guy in northern Minnesota last night
wanting transport from Oregon - it was 35 below where he was.

In a normal year, Minnesota averages single digit
winter weather with January being the coldest month.

I am not scheduling transport in below zero weather.
    I value my equipment.

Quoting a rate is one thing - getting safe delivery is another.

That is a trip best made in the Spring.
