Just had a quick question as I am doing the same thing to my 55 clipper. So when the doors are all off and there is just the b Pillar and top where do i properly brace the car? from package tray to floor? roof to floor? Thanks

You can kind of see how the bracing is it's pretty much a rectangle from A piller to C piller then some additional bacing to the floor. As for the gl*** it is a little harder to deal with then most and cutting gl*** is a 1 in 5 chance it will brake so be careful and keep an eye out for just in case replacement gl***. You can also sink the windshield into the firewall to avoid cutting it. A good Idea too is to pick up some books on chopping tops Tex Smith makes a pretty good one. Good Luck

I'm working with that guy from the packard forum I was going to try it myself but he told me its a big job and it is so I'm learning as we go he goes by Old Gold on here. Carson tops are alot easier to do so that can be a good way to go I thought about it too but I decided on a chop and it looks bad*** I'm definately happy with the way its going.

Damn, but that is lookin' good. Keep it comin'! At 6'6", I need the headroom or I would be more seriously considering what you're doing. Can't wait to see it finished!

Nice, really nice. Kind of a pet peave of mine when someone only shows corner views of a chop. It's really impossible to judge a chop without a straight side view. In your case, you got nothin' to hide, looks good from any angle. Great job, and damn do I love that grill!

wow... love the chop. the quad head lights on the other hand... not so sure about. might end up looking a little to much like this car, which in my opinion looks like a crazy insect.

the chop looks great, but I have to admit, I like the dual quad headlights. 56 Olds headlights would be great too! :)

If you lower and/or move back the seat it might work for you. I'm 5'11" and I moved the seat back a couple inches so the back of the seat lines up with the moved pillar and I got about 3-4 inches of head room.

Sometimes you can over-do a custom, IMO, on that car its to smooth and sleek for kanted quads. again. In my honest opinion.
