Not that it really matters, because I'm coming up there regardless. And I'm definitely not trying to stir up any drama, but....

have ya'll decided on the race fromat? I see the cl***es listed so I'm guessing that it's straight heads up? No bracket racing or indexes? Or have ya'll even decided on that yet?

WOW!!!! First off thanks Chandler with gettin the website goin

ANd then The Yay-hoos and Kens Rod Tees for stepping up for the sponsorships, and Organgrinder for being the first Pre-Red Racer. He is from Arkansas so I bet this is gonna be the start of soemthing spectacular.

Now on a side note if you pre-reg to race $20, that gets you in the gate, through tech, and gets you a free event shirt, which will save you $15.00 for the show price of the shirts.

Once again, thanks to all for the positive feedback we have gotten and the early support so far, this has really shaped up to be something great

    the cl***es are laid out

The two choices we are fianlizing on this week are

#1 heads up ( same cl***es listed as Hamb drags, and DOTD, and THAW)

#2 dial in brackets ( same cl***es liseted as HAMB drags, DOTD, and THAW)

The 65-72 cl***es will have a cap limit of 15 car per cl***, so 30 total.

There will be a run off after all events have been crowned and we will have a top eliminator showdown which will be a bracket format for sure, and that is the only time in the day that a early car will ever run a pre 65 car or truck

What about non competing cars, is there going to be an area to bring those or should those stay home? (Looking at the way this is written it seems sarcastic but not my intent, don't know how else to ask it that could be misunderstood).

Is there going to be a "pay" area for cars separate from the drag cars that is secure etc. so they are not in the way. (As in not the general spectator parking lot)

I know the first few Day of the Drags I went to (I have missed the last couple) the front gated area was full on non racing cars.

If this has been addressed I missed it.

I wont be running, just hanging out and watching.

Looking forward to the show guys!

If it is heads up, it might be cool to run the eliminator's off of the cars fastest time during the cl*** races. Kinda like the dial in being of the national record that they used to do back in the day. If the winner of Gas Coupe runs a 11.59 in the second round, and that ends up being his/her best time of the cl*** races, then that is his dial in for the Eliminators. Just a thought.

If it'd bracket racing the whole way, then it won't make a difference in the eliminator races.

Merc, The goal is to have the Hot Rods with the Race Cars or a section next to them. The plan is to have the late models seperate. Although its not officialy a "car show" we want to have a section for people to look at the cars.

I understand where your coming from. Im sure Ill be in my daily truck so we can haul stuff. But if I was in my Pontiac I would want to be parked with other Hot Rods and not in general parking

buzzard...i like the idea of yay-hoo's T shirts, if i can get D.W. and YOUR autograph! that would be cool. fellow h.a.m.b. members don't be concerned about electronis, nitros, or trans brakes. THOSE FOLKS will run in their own cl***. ther's a 1960 plymouth bull body door slamer in these parts, that runs consistant 8.80 e.t. that badboy alone is worth the addmition for me...POP.

Heads up is the ticket .Bracket / Index racing is not much fun to watch ,and even less fun from the drivers seat .Just my worthless opinion here .Its not about winning or loosing ,its about whats fun ...

I haven't been to Yello Belly in 20 years. Looks like fun and they would even let my '69 Nova in.

Should a non racer pre reg?

I don't want to take a spot from a racer if there is limited space.

How serious will the tech be Rusty? The NHRA doesn't like my stuff. Carl's OK with it. If I can get my but in gear this might be the first public outing for the digger if'n they'll let me run her.
