Hello everyone, I'm Bill and I live just south of Glasgow on the west coast of Scotland. I've been into rods since I was a child but up until now I haven't had the cash or skill to buy or build one. I have recently bought a gl***fibre 1923 Model T roadster with a 1500 4 pot motor from a 1963 Ford Cl***ic Capri. There were quite a few of these built over here in the late sixties early seventies and I plan to keep the steels, the look and just tidy it up a little. Your site has given me lots of ideas and I'm looking forward to speaking to you.
And a Happy New Year to all Hambers!

Welcome to the HAMB from a Canadian tartan-wearing hotrodder!
T-roadsters are a TON of fun. I miss my old one every nice summer day.

Hi Billy, welcome to the HAMB, It's always good to have another Scot on the forum.
The others will be along to welcome you shortly.

I'll bet you won't be driving your 'T' in the current weather we're having!

BTW How far SW of Glasgow are you?

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody.

Boyd Who: T's are great fun but it rains a lot here!

VirgilHilts: Hope you had a fine Hogmanay mate, we had a Blue Moon and an eclipse here on Thursday night so it's going to be a good year!

50scotbolt: I'm just up the road from you in East Kilbride big yin. Did you go to the Kyle Show last year? We'll need to meet up when things thaw out!

mj40's: Glad you liked your visit to Scotland mate. I work for Micron and they're based in Boise. Let me know if you plan on coming over again ok?

william.ali.kay: Thanks for you kind comment but it's exactly as I bought it so I can take no credit for the build. I did buy a 4 pot on purpose just for cheaper running costs though.

Mark H: Lovely car you have mate, I'd like to have a look at it when it suits you. Do you know Daly? He's from out your way.

dixiedog: There are Highland shows on over here all summer, you'd have a ball!

KRITTERSKUSTOMS: There was a street gang down my way called The Wild West!

Flatheadguy: Jim Clark was a one off. The story about his part in the 1967 Italian Grand Prix is amazing.

Stefan T and dutch deuce: It was good of you all to take the time to say hello.

Welcome from M***. USA. I don't know if you are a Mark Knopfler fan or not but his new "Border Reivers" song is all about trucking in your beautiful land.
I can't help thinking about those beautiful hills (like we have in western M***.) when I hear that song.

I've been to the Kyle quite a few times Billy, It's handy when it's only 15mins along the road from me!
    I'm running a 350/350 combo,so I can even afford the petrol too!

Hey, I might even make it in a proper vehicle this year, the wifes Ford Ka doesn't quite cut it........;)
This truck of mine is taking forever,it's my first real big build too.

I wouldn't be suprised If I know your face.
It's a small world in the Custom/Hot Rod scene here as you probably know!
