Neutral safety switch wiring?

    Neutral safety switch wiring?

    <HR style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #e5e5e5; COLOR: #e5e5e5" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and ***le --><!-- message -->hi guys... ok i have a 700r4 out of a 88 camaro and using the oem shifter in my ride now i have 6 WIRES on the safety switch ...#1 tan ,#2 purple #3 orange with white stripe
    #4 BLUE #5 BLACK WITH WHITE STRIP #6 GREEN. OK so i know what all the wires are for but one .so the purple wire is solenoid, the black is ground ,the orange is hot,blue and green are back up lights .so what is the tan one for :(. so do how do i wire it to loop through the key switch . after reading this post its a loop right ..off the key switch through the safety switch.
    i have no more cash to bye new wiring and switch ,i have no job now and i want to drive my ride......

    pictures would help....

    Does the tan one look like it's the same size as the purple one, and like it would be for the same pair of contacts in the switch? if so that would probably be the one you want.

    Pictures would help.

    yes the tan is the same size of as the purple,so the i cut the solenoid wire and splice in the purple and tan wire to make the loop

    If you want to drive it, then drive it. You dont need no stinking neutral safty switch. Been driving my cutlas 10 years without mine hooked up. Ive got a B&M ratchet shifter in mine.

    I've been driving one of mine with the switch byp***ed for several years, but I don't recommend it. It hasn't ever been too big of an issue (excellent reflexes?), but it isn't too clever.

  7. i suggest you do use the neutral safety switch

    the purple should be one of the wires....a quick check with an ohmmeter should tell you which the other one is
