I was thinking about deburring the casting and smoothing up the outside of the heads and maybe even the block for my Cadillac 500. Im wanting to do atleast the heads. Makes it alot easier to paint and clean up as well. Plus I have time and the patience to do it while its winter here in the midwest. I have a air die grinder and I know to definitely wear a respirator when doing this kind of work. What types of carbide bits should I look into getting or if I need them at all? What grits of cartidge rolls/cones should I look into? How much would I need for 1 set of heads? What are some of the better places to buy this stuff from? I did a search here on the hamb and on google but couldnt find much information about this kind of work so I figured some of you guys would know. Any advice you guys have feel free to let me know. Im all ears.

Harbar Freight is as good a place as any to get supply like this.Rember, that cast iron cuts faster than you might think and may be not very thick in some places. When you get it smooth go on to another spot.

Thanks for the links and the advice. I'll do some more research and see what I can do.
