Hey! Picked up this 38 Delivery! Been sittin for over 3 years! Did all the brakes & put in some gas & oil & it's back on the road! Looking for some Original type seats that will work! Tks Bill
Aren't those like Krispy Kreme donuts used to use? I saw some photos on their wall. They also sell toys of them. Or are those the actual delivery based on a truck not a car? Anyway absolutely cool! I sure do miss my 38 chevy........ My 2dr sedan had factory bucket type seats (like fancier Model A Ford tudor seats); are those what you are looking for? Keep us posted on the progress
Jim Carter's Truck Parts has a large used parts department. you might get lucky there. They will probably consist of 2 individual seats with full metal backs. But maybe a 38 pickup or car bench can get you through until you find the originals.
Hi! I have a good bench in it now! Also have heard the ones with metal backs are for 41 & later! Does anyone have any pics of original 38 seats by chance? Tks! Bill
Sorry, don't have any pics but mine were the metal back. These were the original seats I bought the car stock. The drivers seatback was stationary and the p***engers folded down to access the back seat. Both of them were bolted in by brackets in the front so the whole seat could be tipped up. The drivers seat was also adjustable for and aft.
SOLOS...that is the first 38 panel i've seen, and i like it. it would make a fine delivery truck for you. or picking up things! HA! and i would think it's rair too. man i can see that old iron with a maroon paint job. o.k. that's my 2 cents... call me POP...or the old FART!
My dad had a '39. Took a family trip in it out West and I didn't get to see too much. Cool cars....Rear fenders are ultra rare, unique to sedan deliveries and equally rare flat back sedans.
39 rear fenders are special, but the 37-38 are the same as car. My Dad has a 37 sedan delivery with a full set of NOS fenders. He was trying to sell it a while ago but got no takers.
Krispy Kreme had panel trucks. They wanted to buy my 38 SD back in 1999 and when I sent a pic, the boss said mine won't do becaue it doesn't look like their original vehicles. Once I saw what they had in the 30's, then I knew what they were looking for. I never heard of Krispy before then.
This was mine. Had to sell it to a guy in New Mexico, not sure where it went from there. Originally came from L.A. to Tx. Wish I had it now. Mikey
Glad to see another 38 chevy delivery on the road, I have one too. There were only around 5,000 of them made.
