I am just coming in from the cold....................brrrrrr!. Anyway I am finishing up the doors and starting on the grille. I had to re-skin the drivers side door and finish welding the tops on both of them. The grille is a mess, it appears that someone must hast beat the **** out of it to fit a different type of radiator. This is the only thing I can come up with being the way it was banged out at the top right about where the curve begins. The sides are also pretty bad. It seems as thought they had tried the flatten them out trying to get the bead to come back is proving to be a challenging thing. I will try and post pics this weekend of the progress.

    nice work, great stance!

dig the monochromatic black motor with the trimmed fins and contrasting headers. what are your final plans for the air cleaner? I may use similar engine paint plan with the 283 for my truck as I have similar valve covers - just chevy red instead

    good luck

    keep moving, you'll stay warm

Like the frame and wheel change, overall it gives it a more solid look. The truck looks great keep us posted. Did you flip the firewall? I have a '31 two door I have started on. Hope to have it done this time next year.

Well, I got the body mounts made and the new to me Model A firewall tacked in the truck yesterday. I am finishing up welding the firewall and will post some progress pics when I get in from the garage later tonight.

Lookin good man those wide five artillery wheels are sweet. Do you have two different kinds of heads on that motor?

As I am uploading these pics I realize that this is the 5th firewall this truck has had in it since I began buuilding it . Wow.........I think ithis is the one though.........lol.....so this is where I am at with it. I am going to finish it up tomorrow so Ican get some primer on it this weekend. I plan on filling all of the wholes that has been put in it both factoy and the ones put in over the years. But I don.t think it was a bad deal for a $20 firewall.
