    Guys...

I'm pulling my hair out looking for steel wheel. I have a 1964 Shasta that needs a spare tire. If I remember right Shasta used Ford wheels but they could (I doubt it) have been changed out by the PO. He didn't say anything about changing out the wheels. They of course are 15" but I don't know the width until I pull the tires off which will not happen until spring. Can anyone identify this wheel? I see many like it but they don't have all of the characteristics of this one...

If anyone can help that would be great. I only need one of these stinkin' things.

    Thanks
    Brian

spare doesn't need to look like the wheel you have, does it? go to walmart and buy a spare trailer wheel/tire (after making sure you have a 4.5" bolt pattern)

Its not a Ford friend. Maybe the bolt pattern, its fairly knew (after '50 or so) because the hubcap notches are on the outside of the hub recess. Hope this helps, but don't bank on me. lol

Looks just like the ones on my 55 Ford , notches and all . Mine is an uncommon bolt pattern of 4.25" . Ford also used this pattern on the Taurus . I think Jaguar also used the same pattern on some of their newer wheel patterns .

Can you give the measurements of the bolt pattern ? The common measurement and the measurement from one stud to the next on . With these 2 measurements you can find out what they fit .

    Thanks guys for the replies...

squirrel, I do want it to match. I figure why not. It will be in a much more visible spot than in a car's spare area. I may cover it regardless but I still want a matching wheel. The wheels at some point will be running caps on them.

I will get a measurement when the weather here gets a tad better. I was just hoping to find what else they were common on. So finding another would be that much easier.

You'll probably find some wheels that are close, but not exact, on a Ford from the mid 50s or late 60s. Lotsa 14s used in the late 50s-mid 60s though.
