Hey, just found this site browsing through some vintage pics. I have huge interest in oval track racing. I grew up about 3 miles from Seekonk Speedway. Started going with my dad around the mid 60's. I was just a kid then. In the mid 70's I'd go just about every week. That would have been the fadind out of the coupes and the introduction of the Pinto/Vega era. I lost interest when they tossed out the modifieds and headlined the Pro Stocks. I really enjoyed the 70's and 80's there. Todays modifieds seem too cookie cutter for me. The only unique cars I enjoy now are the supermodifieds, though it's been a few years. I'll start to browse through all the forums to see whats going on. Terry
Welcome from an ex-Bostonian. Seekonk, Stafford Springs, Thompson, Oswego...all great memories. So were Lime Rock, the Glen and so many other race tracks. Oh, did I forget N.E. Dragway?
