Cowl steering question

    Does anyone have pictures of homemade cowl steering setups?

    Yup,do a search. I will say this, after research for a long time, I have concluded that the Mopar box is the ticket.

    I tried a setup with a couple different boxes.Make your sector shaft as short as possible with as little deflection as possible.I ended up puting an old sprintcar box in great shape in mine.A little too quick turning but lots better then some rinky dink job.Basically the way shown on first set of pictures.If it breaks,hold on!!!

    My current set up is a volvo 142 box with an extended shaft and a pillow block. the welded shaft makes me nervous though.
