If i had to, i'd still pick the truck.
However i would of swapped out the 4:67 rear axle, installed all the new crossmembers & brake parts i bought. Finish off the interior. Change the rims color & paint the truck. Lower it a bit more and fix the exhaust.

(Smoke's from a burnout, not the engine, haha.)
BUT, at the same time it was a nice jumpstart for me and finally gave me something to call my own, i got to drive the wheels off of it, and smacked me upside the back of the head with some mechaincal confidence. So im 50/50.

i wouldnt change a thing, my Impala is the only thing my grandpa ever gave me so it has sentimental value, and i will never sell it for the same reason. i do wish i had spend my money more wisely, i could have done a lot more with the amount of money i have invested in it

  4. ha, yeah, I didn't think of that! Boy they seemed cheap and plentiful way back when,eh?

It's easy to look back and think "I shoulda!", but it's funny how the learning curve of life is. Back then I just wanted to go fast and party hard, now that I've got a little (very little) retrospect, things seem a little different. I had fun playing with the junk I did, but if I stop and think I'd want two things:

A truck to do its truckly stuff, like carry junk and have windshield wipers and a nice warm interior for when the weather is bad.

Then I would have gone straight to building a roadster, probably another 1930 or 1931, maybe a Deuce if I was lucky, but whatever it is, I'd build with the right stuff to be driven everywhere, right from the get-go. Then I'd drive it everywhere, for years, just like Grey Baskerville. I never knew the guy, but I was told he drove his roadster everywhere, like it was just a normal car. What a life!!

Maybe a dedicated race car of some sort, too.

I'd still build a T, but it would be more refined. I'm doing that now.

My first truck was a 61 short bed unibody ford truck..... it was a nice body and i proceeded to put in and blow up a couple of different motors...... I sold it and moved on to different cars... I learned alot from it and while I might want to build another unibody I would not want to start over... I would like to be a few years younger though and know what I do now and have the funds that I do today......
