A few years back i had the pleasure of meeting some fellas that happened to have a 50th Reunion.... The Strokers of Galt.
I was introduced to John "Skunk" Galbraith and gave them a hand on a little art for there 50th.
Anyhow..a pal of mine p***ed on there web site and i thought I'd share their past with the board.... Hotrodders,Drag racers and quite possibly hell raisers.... these guys did it and lived it.
Check out there site and peruse...... Pretty neat to see what was happening with guys way back when.
Their club had humble beginning in 1954.... Lots of different stuff......
Skunk has since p***ed and i think of him quite a bit.... bit time Bike Drag racer.... he was quite a guy.
    Please respect their site....

I was poking around on their site yesterday, some really cool stuff. It's great the old boys took so many photos and kept track of history for the rest of us.

Dermott...that is Bob Beaser... the Famed "Canadian Indian"... he hails from Kingston Ontario.
He did his famous Rain Dance at many early NHRA drag meets....but got fired by Wally Parks wife.....cause it rained.
Bob campaigned a willys g***er and was(is)always the great showman.
    A great guy.....

Lots of bills piled up right now....

Hey Jeff...Their is a pic on there website of a 28/29 A Tudor..That says Village Idiot..on the back...I knew where that car was up until a few years ago..It was sitting in a back yard in Cambridge..It was all taken apart sitting on a skid and all the loose parts were in a old antique clothing trunk sitting on the ground in front of it.....It was orange with yellow and red or black lettering.I cant remember exactly..The guy that had it bought it for $300 in 1986,,,,The owners have since moved and I lost the guys contact info.....We tried everything to buy that car ...

STIILL! wallys wife must of been a real wingding to do that! still think its odd! killer storys though!!!!!!!!

breeder: You are certainly correct, very odd... However; the humorous aspect is Wally's wife believe the 'Canadian Indian' would prevent it from raining after Bob did his rain dance.... Well it rained, at the Winter Nationals if I recall, after Bob did his rain dance and he was FIRED....
