I originally bought this truck about a year ago, and regrettably sold it to make room for other projects. I bought it back for the same reason I sold it...he needed room for other stuff hahah. This truck saw service during ww2 in the Civil Air Patrol and was parked shortly after the war. A local man here in santa rosa (in his 90's now) owned a diesel repair service at the time, and took the truck on trade in exchange for work to be done on other Civil Air Patrol equipment. He parked the truck and a few others he also took in trade under an oak tree on his property, and never got to doing anything with them. I bought 3 of these trucks, and this one was my favorite. I'm not going to do anything radical to the truck, just stop the rust, and flat clearcoat the existing paint. I'm lowering the truck a bit and throwing some firestone whites on 16's. Motivation will come from a 194 chevy and a 3 speed. No chop. This truck is a war veteran, and really dont wanna ruin it. Heres the truck as I found it, and on the trailer shortly after... Heres the progress so far...
