In my opinion most E & J installations look like an afterthought.
On this car they look like they were meant to be there! Excellent work!

I gotta remember not to ask you for a ride!!

  7. I actually like the windscreen it adds a racy look and the post are in line with the outer louvers. I agree it needs a slight curve at the top of the screen

    Hmmm...how about with wheel disks???

  9. Kirk, Couple of thoughts from the desert. I'll make this real simple.
    1) Headslights actually work even though I really don't care for them.
    2) Windshield posts need to be wider out to the curveture(sp) of the body. Looks out of proportion as is.
    3) Wheel dics are wrong type. You need to get a set from Kevin Lee and run those. That would be the perfect touch on it. I may be in Tacoma this August if you decide to roll north to the Hotrod-A-Rama and show it off. I think you should. Here is a picture of Kevin Lee's disc's on my A. He made me a set in steel as well that I am using on my 34. You could paint them to add some pizzazzzzz!. Dale

Yeah, his are the ones I'd ideally like to run. I just have to see how to attach them to the '36-'39 wheels I'm running.

  12. The hubcaps will stay attached with their clips. Four screws hold it on just like a moon disc. Simple deal. I am running mine on the 34 on a steel wheel. I really like the effort you guys have put into this deal. What are your thoughts on the windscreen now?I am adding a couple pics of my rims that are not quite done yet. I have filler pieces for the rear of the wheel as well on the fronts. May get some for the rears as well. Front backing plates are C4 racing products from the early 60's. Talk to Kevin. He's a good guy. He should help ya out if he's still doing it.Curbspeed

Exactly what I was thinking.I also like how it keeps the body from looking "too wide" as for the air coming around the sides comment why would it matter when your driving with no top? I will admit to never riding in anything like this and I really am curious, not bashing.Would it really be that noticeable?

Very Very Nice car. Damn your pretty good and you may even have an eye for styling. ..........lol............Great looking car Kirk. Oh yeah are the wheels balanced on this? I am asking because I have the same wheels on my Model A that I am buiilding and I am going to need to get them balanced. I am curious to who I will have do it. I imagine they need an adapter of sort. Hell I might try and find an old timer with a bubble balancer know that would be really traditional.....lol

    Kirk,
Man I thought the freebie avatars you offered up was awesome...but this car tops that shit bigtime!!!! I have to agree with what you seem to be headin for...roundin the top of the windshield, wheel discs etc. I do have a question tho...will you have some kind of cover (toneau, tin, etc.) over the "cockpit" area with just an opening for the TWO people in the seat? I think it would add a little something to it.... not like it needs anything more. Once again.....AWESOME RIDE.

It is kind of a hard car to put a windsheild on. he have tried a couple of different ones and moved the post in and out.
If you guys want to, photo shop some windsheilds on the pictures of the legion in the grass with no windsheild on it. If it looks good its not to late to change it.
