I am a mail man and both of mine came just fine. Guess it's who you know and if you tipped your carrier this Christmas......
    Just a suggestion...

I have a REALLY nice USPS lady that delivers to my place. If I'm home she likes to look around the shop. The package was a lil worse for wear but the contents survived just fine. I've been looking at it for about 3+ hrs & it just keeps getting better. Thanks to all of the guilty people involved; you have your sh*t together!!!!!!!!

Mine came in the mail yesterday and WOW, what a piece of art. The only thing is that I haven't figured out how to hang it up without having to take the previous pages off first to get to January. I really don't want to tear it up to actually use it.

I don't know of any other way, as that is how they were intended to function.

I just rescued mine from the mailbox. Held up pretty well despite how the package looked.:D

Thanks for putting my shot on the cover as well.

I thought it was cool how you dated the calendar 1954 and the cover shot is through the windshield of a 54.

So you have to pay your mail man something extra out of your own pocket on top of what he already gets paid for a union job with full benefits for him to do his job and not destroy your mail/property on purpose, out of spite?

    That's a very interesting concept.

No that's just being a human... You tip anyone who gives you service right??? I tip my garbage and recycling man. I guess civility is a dying art. Next time someone does a great job for you like your barber or waitstaff just stiff them and see how your service is next time. Oh and check out our benefits. They aren't that good.
    Thanks

Got mine today...........3 Calendars arrived in safe condition, now I need to figure out how to hang them with-out tearing them off month buy month.......the packaging was pretty much beat to heck, I guess the conveyor belts that the USPS use are not very HAMB friendly.

Enough, I don't want to see this thread closed until someone mentions how good the July photo I posted for Joe Allocco is. :)

Received mine yesterday. Great job! Big THANKS to everyone involved!!

I have the feeling they will all be that way.... the USPS didn't damage mine.
The pages are curved like some photos do. Could be the humidity (or lack of) in my house... hell if I know.

Tipping for a job well done, I'm all for that. Tipping out of fear that someone's gonna be spiteful and ruin your stuff cause you didn't tip is something that I'm not cool with.

Some guy looses his job and can't afford to tip this christmas, so now on top of his already bad fortune he has to worry about someone f*cking with his stuff cause he didn't give them a tip?

Oh yeah, the calendars look great! :)

Looks like you need two more tacks in the bottom corners.

Received mine yesterday. Absolutely awesome calendar, once again! No damage to the packaging and mine is curved too. I've laid it face down under my laptop hoping it will straighten out. If not, I'll have to use a couple of nails in the bottom corners I guess...

LOL, small picture hanging nails just so the nailhead will hold the calendar to the wall.

I'm not sure why they are doing that. Must be the weight of the paper stock.

Tip: Save each page and at the end of the year, stack them in the correct order, hold them together securely and let the top edge hang off a table, put a couple of coats of white glue (Elmers) across only the top edge. When it drys, it dries clear and it should be as good as new?

Maybe the ink shrinks a bit when it dries?

Either way, it's only a minor detail, the calendars are absolutely awesome!

Man they look cool, I can't wait for mine. I've been bugging the hell out of the girls in the reception area at our office... I think they're as impatient as me know, so I'll leave them alone. :D

Thanks for the tip. I wonder who is going to be the first to ask Gene to sign May for him/her.

He knows about the calendar. I had to ask him personally for permission to use the photo. He was more than happy to give his blessing.

Thanks Chad and everyone else for all the hard work involved. Very much appreciated.

Mines curved too though.:( I placed it upside down with weight on it all weekend and it didn't help. The normal stick pins I use to hold it to the wall above my desktop at work won't hold. Not thrilled about having to use 4 nails to not only hold the calendar up but to keep it flat on the wall. I guess I'll have to remove and renail the bottom ones every month?? Please bring back the regular stuff the calendars usually are printed on for next year.
