the Chevys are worth about $700 or $800 each

the '53 has been butchered, I'd avoid it.
but from the picture the '47 might be worth saving

I have no idea what the red car is worth.

  6. i would sell yours outright and buy what you want

  7. $800 is pretty low-ball for those two cars. Not so much on the '53, it looks like it's liable to be a hack job, but the '47 unless it's all filler on the bottom looks a lot better than a parts car. What steering wheel is in it? A decent factory spinner wheel is worth $2500 all by itself; a ****py one $500-$1000. I see it has the fancy wings for the bumpers, so you never know.

That said, I wouldn't swap unless he was going to give you both cars and like $2000 in cash, no way either one is an even swap, I wouldn't even say both of them together would be even.

Make the trade! The 47 is worth it's wieght to the lowrider guys if you want to make money on it, it will sell in a heart beat. If you are into customs, the 53 can make a pretty cool car. The parts for the 53 are not hard to find, you can probably find all you need here in a day.

    yeah I must be spoiled,
but I wouldn't pay any more than that

to sell what you have and then go hunting for what you really want makes good sense

What do you want? Hard to find a guy who has one or two old cars to trade for your foreign car.
If these are not what you want, do what Dirtbag said, sell yours and buy what you want. But what you gonna buy for $6K?
OTOH Bubba is right about the '47.
Me, I would trade, find a hood and put exhaust on the '53, sell it and keep the '47.

Edited to add: ***uming he has ***les for those cars..........
