I'm not going to post the "after" photos. They are too depressing.

I think they rock! Here's a shot of a '59 I took at the Pile-up this year. The paint job was kick ass on this thing!

  8. Well, hope ya get it....if ya WANT it! You should never have to ask an opinion on buying a car that YOU like [IMG]

59 El Caminos are cool. Period. Anybody that can't appreciate their quirky looks is gay. [IMG] [IMG]
Prepare yourself for the onslaught of "regular" people who are gonna ask a million questions about it every time you stop for gas, go to the store, etc. For real.

How do I know? Been there, done that. Sold mine to my best pal, then he later sold it. We BOTH bought replacements this year and we also have two parts cars [IMG]

You'll have fun with it---I GUARANTEE it!

Nashman, that is PasoJohns Elky. Second year of the Pileup I followed that thing through two states. The tailgate paint fucks with your head after about 200 miles!

How can anything that's just a heavy duty plastic drop cloth and a few hundred gallons of hot water away from a !!!!BABE SPA!!!! not be cool [IMG]

(I've got a '60, Elky. new(er) engine's in, suspension's rebushed and lowered two coils and I just came in (it's cold these days, for So. Cal. got down to 33º last night) from working on pulling the rusty gas tank so I can finish welding in the floor patches without going "boom"...)

I'm with most people here,I have been looking for one for about five years, got one off ebay, but it turned out to be a real rust bucket,I dont know what you got into your bike, but chances are it can be replaced a hell of a lot easier than a solid 59 camino will ever be.Id do it in a heart beat, but then again I dont know the facts..

  17. I'd love to have one, but you can't find any around here, and if you do they're rust city.

Getting rarer all the time, like most anything good.

    Buy the sucker!!!
