I was looking through my LMC catalog, and noticed that they sell a steering dampener that mounts to the tie rod and axle for an F1 pickup. Its a shock-looking device. Not OEM, but I was curious if anybody had ever used it. My 'ol truck don't drive too bad, does it make good better? Just curious. Thanks!

I ran a Mor-drop 4" front axle for years on my 51, but it never needed a steering dampner. The biggest problem I ever had back then was getting the bump steer dialed out of it and re-enforcing the tie rod with those dropped ends. You should only need a steering dampner if you are experiencing a front end wobble that you cannot fix by normal methods. Other than that I see no reason for it.

Ok thanks. Didn't make much sense to me either. Thanks for your input.
