My Dad called me today looking for some parts for a top fuel car he's building right now, its a *****en full bodied chute pack car. He said he needs cast aluminum rear brake hats, a few guys made them in the 60's and for about ten years most fuel cars used them, they will have a five lug wheel bolt pattern and then brake rotor bolts to that. kinda looks like wilwood disc brake hat but its cast aluminum. let me know if anyone has any we could buy, thanks in advance- Cole salinasboy@aol.com 831 444 9380 Hat pictured is a wilwood
If you don't find any let me know. I have some, Cragar, Olds pattern. I was planning to use them on my project but I may consider some kind of trade.
may find a suitable subs***ute from the circle track guys until you can locate a real one. I was considering running the winston cup style brakes for a while. egay has them all the time if you can find the right offset they're cheap.
I have a few cast aluminum hats with various offsets but they're for 6-pin sprint car pattern. They use six 5/16" bolts on a 7 5/8" dia. bolt circle to mount the rotors.
I have a pair on the rear of the roadster (sorry, they have to stay), but mine were made by Hurst/Airheart. I have no idea if they still make them (doubtful), but it's worth dropping a dime. Airheart/Tolomatic 3800 County Road 116, Hamel, MN 55340 Phone (763)478-8000 Fax (763)478-8080
Can't tell whether these are steel or aluminum by the photo. Probably steel. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Pair...061QQitemZ230100348826QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
