Ok my 38 plymouth with 392 hemi bored 30 with two fours. No interior except seats,no windows,just meat on the ground and pounden the pavement have not really triied her on the strip but going sixty down freeway she just takes off like a bandit.
o.k... i really hate to say,what's "gonna happen" but, really-really trying to make the HAMB drags this year, made it two years in a row, with dragster,and model A truck, now i really am trying to get this thing together.. but we'll $ee building two engine for it, one is "tame" blown 6-71, with a bird catcher,and the other is not so tame. (10-71 10:1 compression, donovan headed solid roller w/bird catcher) should make 1000 + h.p. on QT gas ,and meth injection ..I drive my junk everywhere..(like kerry ) except the dragster.. it's got horrible ride,and no wipers, and handles terrible in the rain ha-ha ! really want to run an 8 something > with the A.C. on there I said it. I may have jinxed myself.. but that's the plan.. i'm really trying for this year, but new grand son on the way, and we're really busy at the shop.. so we'll see.. now i gotta get my "princess" to stop ******* the hemi !! either way, I'll be there with the dragster,and the A-bone truck this year, but the coupe is my baby !!

DW's 31 is very fast indeed .I saw it run that 10.96 p*** in person at the HAMB Drags last summer and i was impressed as Hell ,so much so that i congradulated him on the return to the pits..It didnt even leave very well on the run IMO and still went 10's .Cool little car ...
WOW! Great shots Greg! Thanks for the kind words ya'll. I love my little coupe & she moves pretty good for a street car considering the gear box refuses to be shifted quickly. Maybe someday I'll replace it. Till then, I'll just continue to make excuses hahaha! What she really needs is an automatic for the strip, but that would neuter the fun on the street. I have always been a HUGE fan of QQMOON's coupe. His & Jimmy White's Hemi coupe were always BIG inspiration for me. Littlemans truck too! Let's not forget Glens model A sedan. Talk about psycho! And then there is 4speedmans plymouth coupe....yikes! Also, it's hard to argue w/ FlamedAbones blown poncho powered sedan! Damn man, lots of fast guys out there to be sure.........

see my avitar 42 Willy coupe. Runs consistant 10.70 at 125 mph. Steet legal, if you put mufflers and DOT tires on it. Has turn signals and even a working original Willys license plate light I don't trailer it to the track...I haul it in the back of a truck this thing is running dual quads on E85 and 528 cubes of fuel-****ing hemi. I doubt it would get better than 5 mpg.
Holy ****... That thing makes me yearn for "Hellfire". I love that coupe. That n the Mangler both give me major car envy.

Dude I dig that coupe. I did not get around the pits as much as I would have liked but I couldn't shoot all of the pics I did and walk around too. I got a few of you and had no idea the pick'em up and the rail were both yours. That's quite a collection. Oh and DW sorry I couldn't resist.

Not even close to the fastest, but my coupe ran 12.90 @ 103 mph. '29 Model A Coupe...'54 Chrysler 331 with 4 Stromberg 97's and a Muncie 4 speed. I guess at least it is one of the fastest coupes with multiple Strombergs...it has low 12's maybe high 11's in it if I'd put some real slicks on it. </EMBED> 2nd video by Blake.</EMBED>

Thanks for the honorable mention ribbon, but I cant match the street time you, FlamedAbone and kerry are putting on your cars. I have to make a new set of headers with mufflers on them before I can try to run my car on the street again. The open headers are stupid loud. I picked up a new set of Borla collector mufflers and a guy lined up....just need to get started. Its bizarre how you can get so wrapped up into making a car go fast with all the details.....its the same commitment to details as a full custom sled.....just a different approach.
Wow. NHRA factors a 10.00 1/4 as a 6.40 in the 1/8 mile. That 6.5 would be an easy low to mid 10 second p*** in the quarter. Whatcha got in that thing?
