Just came across a Lattin 4x2 intake for a flathead ford. I was curious if anyone had any info on these things? What are the worth? Has anyone ever run one on the street?

    Thanks for any info

Hello, I had two of them..Put Stromberg 81s on them and sold..Info is they are hard to dial in for the street..
The two that I had where IRs, independent runners..Only half the carb is used per cylinder..

    -------------------------
With an 'isolated runner' set-up and only one
Stromberg 81 venturi per cylinder, it would
seem to be grossly ndercarbureted. It would
probably have great off-idle throttle response
and lots of very low speed torque though.

E&S Racing made a similar intake back in the mid 1940's.

  8. The Lattin intake is a nice piece....

IMO youd need a decent stroked /ported/geared flatty to make it a decent runner on the street.....a light car will help.

OTOH, you have a nice intake with a straight shot at the valve and they look killer....

    I like em !!
