Hey guys..listen, I'm not trying to start crap with a non HAMB friendly car..but here is the deal.. In the late 60s early 70s my step dad was a pretty damn good drag racer in the nj area, some pa tracks and coupld airstrps. His class no longer exist, and apparently niether do the pictures of his car. It was a 1964 falcon.. will find out the color.. He ran I beleive it was h/ modified production..then m /modifed. in the H class he had a 289.. in the M he ran a 300 inline six, of which I have two of his race motors, with the 3 sets of weber intake and carbs. As I said ,He was pretty damn good, but gave it all up to raise his new family. His best time was like a 11.02 I think. There used to be a stack of old Atco Wheel papers with his name in there as winner of his class, of course those have been misplaced or thrown out over the years. Anyway, his name is Paul Rife, and I been wanting for a long time to find some pics of his old falcon so one day I can build another up for him and put his 6 back in it and hand him the keys. figured even though it was a 64.. maybe someone from the south jersey area might have remembered him or had pics of a falcon that ran between 66-and 73 or 74. A few people have told me to give a post here even though its slightly off the cut offdate..and from what Ive seen in my time here you HAMBers could find anything if it was out there. Thanks for your time. Tony also for what its worth.. I know before he quit racing he had blown up the 6, had it rebuilt and was building a 70 maverick..had that all done up..orange ,roll bar and all.. but never ran that..sold the body off and walked away from racing.. wouldnt mind finding what happen to that either..think it was sold to someone related to wolfington..or had something to do wit hthe bus company here in jersey..
Pipes, came across this while doing a search for inline six racers, More than likely He ran the 300 in H/MP. Bruce Sizemore and few others ran 240/300s' in H/MP in Mavericks and Falcons back in the day.
