  1. I am trying to drop the oil pan for my 55 Buick special. Having a little trouble. Do I have to drop the tie rod to slid the oil pan out? What is the easiest way? Need a little help here.. Thanks Zombie Dante

It's been a while since I had the stock 264 Nailhead in my '55 Special, but as I recall (and mine was a standard shift car), all I had to do was to remove the crossover exhaust pipe and the oil pan was able to be dropped down with no problem. If your's is a Dynaflow, it might be different.

  3. Yeah its a dynaflow, the exhaust is another thing but it looks like the tie rod is blocking more of the oil pan....But I will give it a try....Thanks
