Getting ready to run all new brake lines on a new build, question.........if the rear brakes are drum and the front are disc do I do the rear lines in 1/4 inch and the front in 3/16 or do them all in 3/16?

The size of your brake lines effects pedal pressure, I would make them all 3/16.

I did all mine in 3/16 and the brakes worked great.

I am assuming you guys are running disc/drums correct? It seems to me that the factory did 1/4 for drums and 3/16 for disc, thats the reason I am asking. Thanks for the repies..........:)

Done them both ways and all worked out fine. Pedal pressure is more on the bore size on the master than brake line size. Chevrolet used the 1/4" - 3/16" combo for many years. Good Luck and get to flaring.

It doesn't matter as far as operation goes. Line could be 1/2 inch wouldn't change volume/flow/pressure, which are related to piston sizes of MC & slave. Larger line can make it more difficult to bleed out air bubbles trapped in high points of the plumbing.

It really doesnt matter. Once the brakes are bled, your pedal pressure is directly related to the master cyl bore etc. and you are just pushing pressure

no it doesn't. Bore size and pedal ratio determines pedal feel.
Just run all 3/16". It's easy to bend and route.
