First official test drive in HOTROD video. Kinda boring video...It was just a quick little trip the other day to make sure everything functions. Only had about a gallon of gas in the tank...so I only went down the road and back. It was only about a 20MPH top speed run....just wanted to make sure she steers, stops and turns!!! No windshield in the car yet...so kinda cold on the face! High speed test is next after I secure the seats, seat belts and get a windshield! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQpNsOGP_hs
Hey Mr. Cool! Great Video! Wonder what your heart rate was on the first time out? Ha! Ha! Gonna get my Willys Coupe out today and ride. Weather in Texas. Sixty degrees and sunshine. Gotta love that! 1940 Willys Coupe
Mr. Cool takes on a new meaning in those temperatures! Congrats on the 1st drive! It's a great feeling I know! I'm still trying to figure out how you held the camera. Catch a glimpse of you in the mirror now and then, I don't see it.
I was waitin for you to really get on it! But I guess that the kid in me, go and break it and hurt yourself on the first run!!! Congrats!! Sounds and looks to run really good. Smooth
Get the seat belts in and lets see that thing smoke them tires off..... I guess its always good to make sure every thing works 1st. Did you ask the wife to ride with you and did she give you the camera to show her what its like in the warm house??
Brookfield CT Heart rate was a little up Held the camera in my right hand and steered witht he left!! Luckily the car has no effort to steer! Oh I was temped a bit myself....but restrained from doing so until I nut/bolt the whole car, secure the seats....ect Wife don't give two hoots about the car...just a money pit to her...I only have about $4500 into this....wait till she she's the next project!
Some will call it a rat...some will call it a hot rod...All pure hotrod to me...no sculls, spiderwebs, rust,...ect. It was an economy build...mostly built off swap meet parts, tons of hand fabricated parts, 454 engine pulled from a donar vehicle I picked up for $500......ect Right now spent about $3900 out of pocket...car is 95% done...should be about a $4300 invested when completed!
I think it is pretty *****in, and I love the fact you fabricated it in YOUR garage. I didn't see anything "RAT rod" about it. Some dip ****s have no edicate and are completely ignorant to the definition of a rat rod. Great job brother on your awesome HOT ROD.
