  1. Encouragement for the next generation of HAMBers :D

Do you have a son, daughter, grandchild that got 'bit' by the bug

I'll start with my 4 year old daughter Marie ;)

She loves to help Dad load the cars ...
She insists on helping strap em down

I miss her LOTS when I am on the road :(

    Dedicated to my Marie :)

My son has it.. he's turning 15 next month. He'd like a '50 Ford shoebox for his High School car... don't think that will happen ... He's paying for his own gas...

  13. Yep, I got a pair. Boy and girl are both interested, however my son lives and breaths cars. He has been wrenching since he was a toddler, I would loosen up bolts and let him remove them.

Here the kids are removing headers on the bucket.

The last year I worked as a freelance photographer, I calculated that I was gone 6 month of the year. My youngest was just a tike.
    That's why I quit freelancing...

My boy has the bug big time . He is nine now, he has a 53 chevy 210 that I sold to him for 50 bucks. If he is not in school or doing chores he is out in the garage. And if I even get near a tool he wants to help. It is the best feeling ever. I will try to post pictures later:D

Both of my terror's. My 6 year old son is a mini greaser and my baby 4 year old girl. Both take a shit load of interest in what I do and they help out. My son even cleanes the car after a rain storm. No greater satisfaction!!

I have been trying to pass the torch to my son, but he wasn't ready. I backed off and now things are looking up. He is more into musle cars at the moment, but I bet the nostalgia bug will bite sometime soon.

One thing he is set on is he wants a manual trans in whatever he ends up getting. Looks like I am winning! LOL

Ive got a 3 year old nephew I've been trying to brainwash. I'll bring him a new hotwheels almost everytime I see him, and I'll only buy hot rod or custom hotwheels and tell him the difference between the 2. I think it is sticking as he asked santa for a "hot rod" this year...the little guy made me proud.

  26. Check TSC for the Overalls;)

Great pics guys!! Its awesome to see the next generation picking up the torch.

Heres my smallest, Jesse hes 2 in the pic now 3.
He says my cars are bla bla car cars because of all my cars have duals and cherrybombs.
When he sees a old car in a magazine or T.V. its a bla bla car like daddies.
He has a peddle car in the attic that was mine, he gets it this summer. His first project.

OK, I'll post some photos of my grandson, Nathan. His dad, JMON77, will probably post some more. If it's got wheels and makes a noise, Nathan is interested. Between his dad's Model A coupe & '53 Chevy truck, his other grandfather's '66 Fairlane GT & '48 Chevy, and my stash of '55 & '57 Chevys, '67 & '69 Novas, '69 Camaro, '64 Corvette, my '33 & '34 Ford coupes, and our Harleys, I pretty sure that the die has been cast. :) He's always ready to go to a cruise-in, car show, or swap meet. He has a couple of Powerwheels electric cars. He figured out that he can switch from forward to reverse and turn the steering wheel in order to get the vehicle to do a 180 degree turn (he's 3 years old).:D Yep! That's one of ours!

My Oldest is getting into cars, he's 7 and I've taken him to Billetproof and the woodward dream cruise. He likes the pickup truck (probably why I can't sell it:rolleyes:) and thinks the model A is "crazy". Of course cars can't hold a candle to his video games or pokemon cards:p.
My youngest seems to really like trucks and anything with wheels to play with so maybe 2 for 2!

added pics of my oldest at woodward last year,
    with the wagon
