HAMB Meet & Eat at Bob's Big Boy Broiler in Downey

Friday night Jan 29th 7pm, this is the Friday of the GNRS weekend.

Ok, so Megan and I were chatting about our itinerary and what we were going to do on Friday night. We discussed Boy's Big Boy in Burbank and frankly we've been there, done that, and only a few HAMB folks brought their cars out to that cruz anyway the last few years. So, we thought we'd cruz over to the Bob's Big Boy Broiler on that Friday night and check out the scene there.

I know their cruz night is usually Wed and some of the HAMB folks have started a Saturday night gig there but neither of those nights work for us SO I just thought we'd throw it out there that we'll be at the Downey location to hang out, maybe grab something to eat and maybe take a spin or two in our pals hot rods that we admire so much.

Anyone else up for meeting us there and hanging out?

Looking forward to going back to the Broiler, this time it will be OPEN!

 

I still have not made it over to the Broiler, I did drive by it once.

Just plan for traffic on a Friday night. Driving from Pomona to Downey is about 30 miles in LA traffic. And if you toss in a little rain and it's going to be a looooooooooooong drive.

LA traffic doesn't scare us.
We will probably plan it so that we are doing something in the Broiler area during rush hour. Trust us, we can always find stuff to keep us occupied and entertained.

Yes mam, I will be there. I always am lol. Will have my A banger out there too. I missed ya gals when ya came out last. Nerdbynight and I were gonna come down to LA but we ended up at a car show here in Bako. I look forward to meeting ya just as I suspect alot of other people do. According to the calender here in California, Friday is the 29th, Saturday the 30th. So the question is, are we doing this Friday or the 30th?

Which night is generally best to come see some cars and what sounds like a pretty cool place? We will be in LA last week of Feb and have wed and friday nights free. And any ideas on how long to drive from BH to there?

thanks for the underwhelming response. I am sorry, i didn't realise it was a private "clubhouse" for a chosen few...i made the apparently incorrect assumption that it was a BUSINESS and open for all to enjoy.

huero, sorry, staying in beverly hills area.

 

Google maps your BH address and the address in the resturants link and you will get not only the mileage but the regular drive time and the drive time with traffic.

 

Count me in and some of the LBCC crew in.

Will get to the Broiler maybe after 7pm. If the weather is good, use the drive in canopy, looking forward to a good turnout.
