Picked up a 54 Ford customline this week, and I am very interested in chopping it. The only reservation I have is the very large curved back window. Anyone in Wa have any interest in doing a chop party??? I have some skill and some cash. Not a huge amount of either though. Hey Keith you have a new place dont ya?

Here's an early sketch of mine before I changed the whole top design, on my '54. Maybe it will be of some help deciding how you want it to flow.

This is approximately 2" in front and 4" in the rear, with the glass area slanted back deeper into the trnk area. Good luck have fun. KK

    Cool.
Where are you guys at? I have a genereral idea, but not sure of directions. I'm hoping to get on it soon. My wagon is getting ready to go in for paint. I always have to have a couple things going at one time though.

If you have a chop party, and bring it down to Vancouver, I'll show up for moral support and the chance to learn something! I'm not real smart, but I can lift heavy objects! :)

  8. We are Northwest Vancouver...Slamon Creek area. Call the shop and ask for Jonah...he is my husband. He can give you directions...anytime of the day...

  9. If you stay a little closer to home, I'm in. I'm not experienced w/ the actual lay-out of the chop, but I'm handy w/ a grinder.

Damn! I guess I'll be organizing this a little sooner than I thought. I'll keep everyone informed on when/where we will start cuttin'.

shit i'm gonna watch this one like a hawk!!!

i have a real ruff idea of how my '54 tudor is gonna be cut...

gonna move the backglass foreward about 3", and lean the top edge in about 3" also...this should give the back a nicer line after the roof is tacked back on... i am still not real sure if i am going to lay the windshield back or actualy attempt cutting the glass or not... cutting windshields makes my sphincter pucker real bad  :D
