So where on a Mexican Block does it say 'hecho en mexico?'
Is it on the block casting or just labeled on the valve covers, or what?
I have a Goodwrench replacement 350 in one of my cars, and now I want to check and see if it is a Mexican 350.

and yet MEXICAN block 302 Ford small blocks were, and perhaps still are, the most desireable ones to have? Maybe Ford had better control of their production and standards than GM?

I built mine last year similar to this; Click here: Vortec Small-Block Build - Popular Hot Rodding Magazine, but bought a new 350/290 Mexican block from GM.

The 'Hecho en Mexico' was big and unsightly right above the casting number. I ground it off smooth then stamped the VIN there. When I painted the block it filled in, but if necessary all I need to do is scrape a little with a pen knife and I've got a "numbers matching" car.
