I drive a 63 Chevy truck, had it about a month. my other DD is a 87 Samaria with 220,000 miles, wife drives the nice truck. I work as a maintenance tech at a printing factory- I fix and build stuff. I learned to drive my Dad's 64 Chevy wagon, 3sp/283 then my brothers 69 Wildcat. My first car was a 67 GTO back in 1983, bought with no engine and bent frame. Most of the last 25 years I have drove work vans and trucks, but now working for someone else and can have a non work driver again. Big Pontiac fan. just sold a 78 firebird that was to be a drag car. Still have 455 and built TH 400 in the shop. Wife had a 97 GTP for her daily driver and B stock drag car, her past dd's included a 77 T/A, and 80 924 Turbo. Goal for my truck is a reliable no bs driver. If I wanted leather, fuel injection, etc, I would just take the wife's truck, or my GTP. No go fast parts, but will try to get good highway MPG, hope for mid 20's. I painted the truck in my yard last week. Not bad for a first attempt, but just something to hide the **** yellow till mechanical work is done. If I was cool I would have red wheels!
