After talking to ryan and doing some research I finally taught myself how to make a site. It was the one thing I was lacking in my media ****nal.. So this is the beginning of my Mad Fab makeover.. With this site i'll be able to Keep updating the merch and adding to my Blog regularly so check back frequently! I also add my Tee shirts back on there

    Heres the link:
    www.madfabricators.myshopify.com

it will be Madfabricators.com in the next few days.....

Let me know what you think!!!

    Evel

P.S. Thanks Ryan for the guidance

It's clean and simple to navigate, it gets right to the point. Looks great to me...

It's working nicely. Your search prompt up top is hidden by the boarder so you might want to bring both of those down a bit. I also think that the MFS banner across the top should be as wide as the margin or at least auto sized by the browser. It seems like wasted space and even a person with a small monitor will have to scroll over to see the rest of the "Barris text" so you may as well make the logo go across the width of your margin.

The twitter, facebook and HAMB icons on the left are rad and definitely give it a fresh look. This is one ofthose sites where people are not going to linger so it's best that it works well and functions properly. Your customer wants to be able to get in, order and get out so I think it all is working well. If it were more of a site where you would regularly check up on, I think the section ***les on the left could benefit from being bigger and a bit more alive (perhaps with some roll over options) but like I said, this is more of an online store rather then a body of work type deal.

Ask Ryan for any thoughts he might have. He builds really rad sites that are simple but hella effective. I am sure he would be a good critique of the new site. I work in print so I might be completely full of ****.

Lookin good though dude. I would have liked to see more spider webs and iron crosses.:D:D:D

    P.S. I am using Firefox.

Hell! I have to re-order the ones I "lent" out and they never returned:eek: Fun vids!!!

BTW: Clean. Noticed, the search function is hard to see and the links don't work. Not trying to be an a-hole just p***ing on info.

Thanks for the input JJ.. Some of the stuff you mentioned I'm still a newbie and might be
able to fix but its based off a template and I just altered it as best I could.. I'll be tweeking it as I learn and it will improve over time... As for people lingering I want them too thats why i'll be updating the blog almost weekly especially once I start shooting MFS 6 I'm going to put small clips and pixs of the shoots etc..

I'm working some patina/ skull / spider web content just for you... :D

  13. Skulls!!! Don't forget skulls! :p

    The site looks great, man!

    Congratulations on everything!

I would suggest doing the blog as your opening page just to let people know what up and what going on. If it were an opening page and contained cool **** to read on a daily basis like inspiration and such I would bookmark it. Take a look at ScooterMcRad's blog. He has some cool **** on there that may or may not pertain to Hot Rod directly but it's all very cool to check out daily or wt least weekly.

Also take a look at Lohr's (littleman) blog/site. It's really clean and professional looking. I wouldn't mind seeing something like this as your first page so I can get right into the meat & potatoes of what going on instead of searching. Then from there you can have all you sections like you do so that ordering does not become headache.

If nothing else the blog should be more apparent and should be a focal point of the site perhaps. I think that's why so many people in the last 5 years have been abandoning traditional website in favor for wordpress or blog type sites. Take a look at House Industries site and how it lays out and is very cohesive. It just looks like a lot of fun to play with.

The facebook, HAMB, twitter is all about branding. Brand that MFS logo everywhere and from there you can take over the world!!!

Like I said dude, over all the site is looking great and if you could tweak those couple things it's going to work really well. Just make sure you don't fall behind on the blog. People will forget to log on if you don't update it for a month. Post what ever your thinking about like Nerfbars, Show displays, or even that hideous creation Mr. Bleed posted last night. Everything is cool!!!
