I like the Whippet grille. It's sort of a mix of Model a and the '32's style.

My take is a model t should have one of 2 shells T or 32, but that has always been my opinion, do whatever you like, but i do like the rest of the car

I have a model A (28/29) grill on my avatar but it has been narrowed 5 inches. I think the proportions turned out OK. Do what makes you smile when you stand back and look at it.

Bought it off Ebay, and yes, it shipped from Canada. It really completes the look on the firewall!!! Thanks for this journal, it's been fun building my car and stealing?, Borrowing?, ohhhh, using some of your ideas for my build. I'm so close to a test drive... maybe this weekend or next.

The cowl and the rear turtle deck quarters are at the sand blasters and the rest of the body parts are soaking in a molasses bath, you can just see it on the right.
I made myself a brake from angle iron and beefed up a Horror freight bead roller and started making a floor.
the back is hard because of the frame Z and i have to cut a chunk out of the rear bit to allow for the banjo part of the rear end to move up and down.

  16. Those subrails came up a treat. The beadwork looks really nice too!

Wasted 2 hours going to Harbor Freight to buy a new set of jaws for my electric shears and they snapped off when I touched a piece of 18G with them GRRRRRRR
So then I started welding up the bump for the rear crossmember and run out of welding wire. Theres only cleaning the shop left and thats no fun.

  21. They are out there, I just keep missing them! I finally broke down and ordered a repop from Snyders last week, oh well...

I'm not changing my sig until it's in my hot little hands!

  22. not sure if the answer was what you meant so just in case, they create small bubbles which cover the part and get inside cracks and implode removing dirt. some have stronger action than others.
they are used in many applications and i have a small but good one in my studio. they come in handy cleaning all metal things and also non metal stuff.
im liking how the 27 is coming along and looking forward to seeing it finished.:)

Its been 2 weeks so I got the parts out of the molasses bath and pressure washed them "and I do declare it works" (Spoken like a Southern gentleman)
Also Finished the floor over the frame Z too.
