Some vinyl flames on my '62 wagon.
But since I'm leaning to a more customlook I think the flames will go off one day.

Scallops on the '60 NewYorker. So this is an airplane eh?
I don't really consider this a permanent paintjob. The scallops were more something of a try-out. I like how they turned out and will probably redo them on a better paintjob.

I like them all but it depends on the car. Like mine for instance, scallops would look good but I have seen one done in flames and was not crazy about it, I also think that every car should have some pinstriping on it. That is just my opinion though. It is all about what YOU like on your car.

Sometimes the car will tell you what it needs.

There are two correct opinions here in my opinion...... there is my professional opinion that you certainly can over do anything. I feel you can combine pinstriping with either flames or scallops, but not scallops and flames. There is the personal taste opinion, where unfortunately from a professional standpoint, anything goes. In my opinion, all three ideas can be used on most cars, even cars of today.......... The bottom line of all this, is.... the reason this stuff came about was to set your car away from everyone elses, be different.

Flames for me. But definitely "less is more". Too much takes away from the car. Make it look like it fast and mean, but not like you need call the fire department.

I'm very partial to scallops. I like flames, but not on my own car. And most everything should be striped, especially when Anthony White lives within 2 hours of you!

I love flames and pinstriping. I am not so crazy about scallops. I always want more pinstriping than my guy puts on my cars. I guess he knows best. Gary
