I think so - it's also the Dutch word for 'large'...

Yes, Grote is an aftermarket lamp manufacturer, still in existence, mostly commercial (truck/trailer) now.

  7. We sell Grote at my work here. Yes, mostly commercial, some RV and small trailer lighting.

I have all Grote lights on my rig (2003 Kenworth) They have some cool setups and a wide selection. For most taillight or marker light apps you can go to any of the larger Truck Stops and they carry a wide range of their lights.

would make sense they came off a truck or some piece of equipment as the guy they originally came from works for a construction company, he probably sourced them from something at work, thanks-

CarQuest stores and other auto parts stores carry Grote products and have catalogs so you can order other stuff too.

So..............have we uncovered the reason Aaron is able to build all of those *****in hot rods? All this time I was under the impresssion he drove a crop sprayer but I can see now that was just a diversion to keep us from finding out he should be on the show LIFESTYLES OF THE RICH AND FAMOUS. And to think I bought a T-shirt to help him finish the last one.

Frank, as for any relation, it is about as distant as you could get because I sure as hell don't know any of those folks that make the lights. I don't think I could even qualify for a free T-shirt from them. ha ha ha

....As for my inheritance, my grandma's farm in Iowa sold last year. After 12 aunts and uncles got their cut, there wasn't much left for me and my 60 cousins. If there is any relation, by the time I get my cut, I could probably blow it all on a pay toilet. Therefore, you probably should buy another one of my shirts, I need some money to get to Los Angeles next week to go pick up my car. ha ha ha

  18. If you think Grote has some cool stuff you need to check out the Truck-Lite stuff. I only try and push the Grote because the Truck-Lite rep won't give me a deal on LED headlights yet.
