Every flathead Cadillac Mallory I've seen had a "13" number designation. Yours is a real oldie (30s/40s), and I've never been able to find a Mallory catalog older than 1953. I'm not calling you stupid, but did you check the point cam to see how many bumps it's got? If it's for an 8 cylinder, and the mechanical advance advances in the correct direction for a Cadillac, it couldn't be too difficult to make it work.

some 8cyl. only had 4 lobes. The drive side almost looks like a A series british motor.

It certainly looks like a Cadillac flathead Dizzy. I'd almost bet on it!

    If you don't need it, I do!:D

    Heathen,

Yea, it's got eight lobes with vacuum advance. It's def. the early style Mallory which took the brown cap apposed to the newer black caps. Looking at pictures of others It looks to be caddy flathead which is what I was hoping because it's gonna go on the cad motor in the roadster.

  7. Pete,

    Sure is Flathead Cadillac.

I have three of them on the shelf now. The drive looks like the 49-56ish. I have one that is earlier than that one and I am afraid to use it because of limited replacement parts.
