BenD is having tire woes on the trailer. He lost tread on one of the tires, put on the spare, now it is flat. He is near Casa Grande(sp) Az where I 8 and I 10 split.Is there any one near that can give heim some help or at least sit with the trailer and load while he goes for tire repair?
Ben would help anyone on this board (and has), I would give him a hand if I could! Besides, If we dont get him on the road....he`ll be late to pick-up my Road Runner!!
If some one in the Casa Grande or Tuscon area could go sit with the trailer and the load while he drops and goes for tires, would help.
I've had that happen, can he try to put the good tire on the rear of the bad side and leave off the front one? It should float above the ground. I made it over 100 miles with a car on the back that way. I didnt fix it cause I didnt have enough $$. He might be able to get to civilization that way.
Maybe over simplified but, what Bolt circle on the trailer?.....what bolt circle on the vehicle on the trailer? Just a thought.
Elpoloko is going to contact Ben. He may even have a tire and wheel that might get Ben to where he can replace tires.
Just got off the phone with him, sounds like its under control. That section of road has consumed lots of trailer tires for me. I lost two right side radials headed to Tucson a few years back and this years trip to MOKAN chewed up a right side, different trailer. I switched to heavy truck Bias ply tires on my trailer a while back and it solved all sorts of driveability issues and picked up a few points in mileage too. Never again will I run radials on my trailer.
Im alot closer than ElP to where Ben is at. If he needs something tonight tell him to call me (I may be drunk though) **X **X **** I can't see him having any issues at the intersection hes at. Its without a doubt the busiest "big rig" interchange we have in AZ. All the, truck stops, washes, stores, ******s, a gear jammer would need. I really don't know about the ladies but you know what I mean
Hope he pushes it tonight. Any road coming into SO Cal is gonna be Fooked from holiday traffic tomorrow.. And its gonna be raining tonight. Cajon P*** (I-15) will most likeley be snowed in or closed. Same with the I5 through the g****vine.. Good luck to him!
