Search using the keywords 750 327. We have much to say.

Try them both. The economy carb probably will be better all around. Double pumper when set up will get it done but you won't like the mileage - especially if you have a lead foot.

Better answer could be supplied if you specified what kind of economy carb it is.
    List numbers for carbs?

You're currently running it with the small carb? Put the big carb on it, dial it in, and see how you like it.

Use the 750, you will like it. You'd probably like a 650DP better.

  7. Bigger is not always better, 650 on a 327 is plenty and vacuum secondaries is best for the street. But go ahead and try it for yourself.

Double pumpers with mechanical secondaries work best on manual trans vehicles. I am running a 600 dp w/ mech on a 350 w/700r4. The secondaries really don't get much use, so it isn't a big deal for me. You would need good flowing heads and a healthy cam to get in the breathing range for a 750. If it bogs when you hammer it, you probably went too big.

I was running a 600 (1850)on a fairly stock 307sbc and when I changed to a 400cfm it ran one hell of a lot stronger.
