    speak for yourself man!

havent really "built" anything, but ive done almost everything else to a 69 chevy pickup (first vehicle, daily driver) and i'm also in the middle of getting my '55 buick on the road, doing a trans swap, brakes and plenty of bodywork. got a pile of model A parts that will be a cool little hot rod after the buick is drivable.

also a '55 chevy bel air that both my dad and i share, its my favorite car out of the bunch.

I'm assuming Kennedy is your son, if he built this between the ages of 16 and 18 he needs to be doing this for a living, very nice ride and would like to see more, are there any pics in the archives?

  11. Hey Cyclone... I noticed that your "Suzie the little blue coupe" avitar got augmented!:D

  12. Bought this at 13. Learned alot about building cars and dealing with shops. I got burned by 3 paint shops. The total of the 3 woulda paid for the show qulilty shop's estimate that I thought was outrageous. Needed al new floors and found lots of other rigs in the process. Definately worth spending a few thousand more next time to get a more solid shell. But still was fun.

I really don't fit in here... :( No real builds before 20, though I did convert my RX-7 from automatic to manual, rework the complicated sequential turbo system and fix several factory shortcomings.

Presently I'm restoring an 87 VW Scirocco for my wife, again, not really the flavor of this forum, but most can appreciate them anyways. One of these days I'm hoping to find a 30's Ford project to build a budget rat rod with.

I built this in my late teens. I grew up in the sticks or northern Michigan and my dad isnt much of a car guy so it was a lot of trial and error. Built back in the early 2000's long before the "rat rod" craze.

And then I completely re-did the car in college during my Welding Engineering degree to what it is now.

started working on my truck when I was 16 years old. Only bigger and better things follow after your first hot rod. 32 Ford 5 window I will be starting on very shortly. Oh I am 20 years old btw.

  20. Bought this 50 crestliner on my 16th b'day in central Oregon...yanked the cracked 239 flathead and built a 255 flalthead from a 53 Merc...installed headers, Offy 4 barrel and a Rochester carb...ran great.
The day I brought it home in '64...cost 50 bux and another 15 for the motor...and another 36 bucks for rings, bearings, gaskets. I was making 75 cents an hour bussing dishes at a chinese food joint.

The '59 was my first car when I was 15. The chevelle was an on going project since I was about 17. Sold it just a few years back, basically finished.

  24. My 58 Dodge. Bought it for $35 when I was barely 15. Worked on it till I had installed a 313 with a fourbarrel carb and an Ansen Posi shift conversion, 4.10 gears and United tire wide street retreads. Raced it at Old Ceders Drags strip. Sold it then bought it back again and abused it some more. First ran it July 1966. I was 16 then.
