I'm looking for some advice from the HAMBers who use the Supremes. I'd like to put them on my convertible. I think they belong there. Any opinions out there? How about where to get them, are they made well enough and are they worth buying? I've been going crazy trying to decide what to use for rims on this car. I go from black steelies to chrome steelies to the Supremes. I'm not thinking about it anymore! Thanks for any help folks.

I have posted this before but check out Cragar's Unique Supreme wheel at Newstalgia Wheel. They look the same & these guys are great to deal with. I've had them on 2 different cars.

Nice Job Dom. I've been looking to get a set of supremes for my Galaxie & wherever I look at a place online that is supposed to have them they are no longer available.. This should be interesting.

Supremes and pinner whites would look awesome on this car I believe. They will give you that 60's mild custom/lowrider look.

Yeah, I think I finally agree. I have 205/75R15 pinner whites ready to go. Just want to be sure about the rims.

That is sweet. Supremes and pinner whites would really set it off. I bought mine from Summit. They're 15x8 made by US Wheels.

AVOID THE US WHEEL VERSION!!!!!!!!!!! they are weak and i have seen more than a few cracked broken wheels. you'll know they are the US Wheel version by them NOT being gusseted/braced in the back of the spokes. Allied Wheels version i know has the gussets as i've had a few sets from them and i think the Cragar version also has it.

personally i'd peep around for a set of og Rockets. i've always considered Rockets the perfect wheel for anyone who can't decide between supremes and cragars haha. most i've ran across lately are either 14s(may work for you) or are like 15x10s or something. i'll do some digging and see if i can find some.

cragar 30 spokes would look good on that car with skinny whites to...ken....

I have those on my 62 Merc, they are really nice and I like them alot.

  18. Dom,

You already know how much I think you should run Astros/pinners on that car!!!
When I was looking for them on my car I found a guy in Fallbrook Ca. that was selling them through ebay. He had about the best price I could find and they were the Cragar ones. Todd

I like the sombreros and ww's too, but the price of ww's has gotten so high I would find myself keeping the miles down to make them last

the newstalgia wheels are direct bolt pattern. i think i paid about 140 each from them. if you get the uni lug style from summit just make sure they have the reinforcement tab welded on the back of the spoke.

I ran mine for 3 years before one started leaking. Who knows how long the crack was there....

Another vote to not buy the cheap, ungusseted versions.

14x7 standard supremes with 5.20s would fit that car like a GLOVE... like a GLOVE
