Well the weather is finally clearing out of AZ and I made my way up to Pavillions this afternoon in the '29 - wow what a turn out. Here are some pics I took at the cruise.
Damn, every time I see the Model A coupe in your avatar I just get wet. This new picture just shows more of it's good points. The stance, the whitewall big n' littles on '35 wheels...all JUST PERFECT! You couldn't guess I love this thing. DD
I was there from 10:00 AM till 9:30 PM I did not even see you there.I did not have the car but I was there the weekend before from 3:00 AM till 9:45 PM car crazy I guess. Frenchy
Damn Frenchy, you logged some hours there I looked for your car but didn't see it - now I know why, it wasn't there. It was so crowded it's no surprise that we didn't run into each other. I was only there from about 3pm to 5pm. Lot's of cars but tough to get pics with all the people. Tom
I wish I could have taken more and better pics than I got but there were just too many people, lawn chairs, and yes - even a motorized recliner chair that a guy was buzzing around in
Actually the weekend before I had the 32 at the Pavillion as I mentioned before from 3:00 AM untill 9:30 PM I had a great time a lot of people asking questions about the car this went on all day as you can imagine but the surprise was later in the afternoon when they had mentioned that the Barrett Jackson crew including Steve were going and pick two cars of their choice in the crowd and announcement would be made later. A few hours later I notice the crew stopping by the car and inspected my 32 like they never seen a Hot Rod before LOL. Steve called me over once he found out it was my car and told me my 32 was his kind of Hot Rod and he could not believe some of the deatil I had done to the car and shaking his head than he proceeded to look on the underside of the car and called over for his crew to look under to see the detail. Steve than replied to me if I was going and be there for a while longer I told Steve I would be he than told me to stay around as he had something to give me also telling me that my 32 was his kind of Hot Rod and really like the way I had build it sure made me feel good. An hour went by and Steve made the announcement on the PA system that they had picked their two cars for the evening and to my surprise they mentioned that one of the cars was a 1932 Hot Rod Lincoln powered by a V12 Flathead Lincoln MAN I was in heaven the rest of the night. I had people taking pictures like crazy. This was sure a great weekend for me. So I had decided that this past Saturday I would take a break and just go as a spectator. Thanks Frenchy
The Chevrolet with the roll up sides was in the family since new and was originally from the state of Maine and the whole family got to drive it as the years went by. They restored it the way it was when bought new. If you need more info let know and I will see what I can do for you. Frenchy
Hey Frenchy congrats on the "pick" last Saturday. You have really been cleaning up with the "Hot Rod Lincoln" and it is well deserved. It is truly a beautiful car, and as I've told you I have had dreams about that purring V12 that sounds to me like an old airplane.
