i'm working on a 1930 model a pick up.the frame has a 11" kick in the rear and a 5" kick in the front.i need help on deciding the front axle set up.i was thinking on a 4" i beam and reversed spring.i'm also running disc brakes all the way around with a lincoln versilles rear end.the motor is a very powerful 302 and aod trannie.i can't find anyone who sells a complete front end with everything on it,just so i don't have to buy it sepreatly.does anyone have any leads?
Speedway sells everything you would need and there is Thompsons garage, he selld a complete front end kit. I think his ebay store is tbucket75, look him up.
Have you checked www.speedwaymotors.com? they have a bunch of options an sizes/styles. Should give you an idea of $'s.
i've got a speedway magazine.the truck has no running boards. so should i go with a 48",47" or 46" i beam. how can i tell which works best?
Posies and honest charley has them as well . The width is determined by if you are gonna run fenders or not. I found the people at both of these places can help you
speedway, 46" wide 4" drop i-beam set-up, 4 bar or radius rods (personal preference here), about as simple as it can get
thanks for the input.i am not running fenders.i"ll check out posies and honest charlie.i do have the 27" radius rods.just difficult when your bearly learning about how to build a rod with nothing to go by.thanks for yall's response
