Door Panel Wood? 61 Falcon

    Hey guys I was wanted to try to make some new door panels for my 61 Falcon anyone know what type of wood it is or where to get it? any advice when making the door panels? It seems pretty straight foward trace the old ones and cut them out but just want to make sure theres nothing im missing. Thanks
     
  2. I use the 1/8" door skins, you can buy them at any good hardware store, Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. You can buy half sheets, or a full 4X8 sheet. Dean

    glue some plastic on the backside too and the wood will last much longer..

    Here's the front door on my 62 falcon Wagon. Went to Lowes and got Stain grade 1/4 inch plywood. I think it came in 2'x3' sheets. Used the old ones for a pattern and gave them a coat of stain.
