The associations for this class of vehicle should get together and do a study of the environmental impacts compared to the amount of money our hobby brings to the state. If it's the money they're interested in they should look at the money spent in salvage yards, parts manufacturers & retailers, builders, shows, travel, etc. that our hobby brings to the state. Maybe they would be interested in that number before they legislate the industry out of existence?

This is the kind of bullshit that will make me pack up my garage and move out of California some day soon. This is absolute bullshit. There is NO WAY IN HELL that there are enough hot rods on the streets of California to EVER affect the ozone, air quality, or any other fruity ass shit they are claiming. We need to make a HOT ROD wagon train and all drive up to Sacramento in one big ass formation. Then have a picnic on the Capitals front lawn!!
