I like that - it´s got something of a Dan Woods/Ice Truck look going on. Also the idea of putting an aero track nose on something the shape of a phone booth is pretty cool.

Wow, those Bob Thrash drawings are real cool. Here are some drawings done by Chip Foose.

Here's my feeble attempt. It's funny, because I can carve things, and shape things, but for some reason I just can't translate 3-d into 2-d. Please excuse the cow catcher, and the kaiser dragon door...

I know when i did em when i was 16 for O/T vehicles i charged $120 a view, took me about an hour and a half per view after i had the prelim. sketch done. I'd still do it if i even had the time anymore. I'll have to scan some recent quickies i've done tomorrow when i'm back at work.

Yup just regular bic ballpoints. I try only to use markers or ballpoints forces me to not erase my "mistakes" and just move on.

The tough part is getting through to a good artist. When I started my woodie project, I put out a whole bunch of feelers looking for concept art. I got a bunch of no replys and refusals and that's before any money talk even started. I have a pro builder buddy that works regularily with Foose. I could have gone that way, but I would have had to wait at least 2 years. I cooldn't wait that long.

It's a lot like prices for body and paint -- from $30.00 an hour (if there is such a low price in the body and paint business...!!!) up to $160.00 an hour in a "Pro" shop. It varies with each artist, depending on their "name" -- if they are known locally, or nationally, or known in the industry, or if they are just starting out...

Best you can do is contact them and ask...

I cant draw worth a **** but here is what the Rikster did for us on our under construction 36 roadster he's great to work with & very reasonable for what you get. This will have about 100 body modifications to build.
