been throwing this together the last few months, was going through all my pictures and figured i might as well toss a few on here.
Justin, you did wonders, with the parts I sold Jim, the painter did a great job too. I really enjoyed seeing the car almost finished saterday. too bad it cant be done for the Grand National, well maybe for Vegas.
I don't like chevy's but I really like your car, the detail is really nice, and even that chevy looks well dressed. You should be really happy with how close you are and how its coming together.
thanks guys, flatoz it's a customer car, hence the j.h. evans coupe not the justinb coupe if it was mine i would make a few changes mostly bringing the *** up a couple inches, right now the rear of the body is about an inch higher than the cowl, but to the eye it looks just about dead level. oh yeah and flatoz at least the chevy should have some grunt to it, early 327, all roller, balanced roating ***y. etc. the wheels are getting painted glossy with polished sellers knockoffs, and it will have lakes headers with a downward angle similar to tom branches car, they aren't made yet and he's going back and forth between natural stainless or a kinda graphite colored ceramic coating. interior will be leather, i gave him a bunch of little books last night to get some pattern ideas. it's been a fun car to work on, he's planning on taking it to the del mar gg deal as a first outing. then we'll see if i can talk him into driving it to the roundup.
JUSTIN...WOW! man i love that hotrod, and finaly someone had the stones to paint it anything other than BLACK. you do great work my friend. it would be very hard to find something wrong with that old boy. but if someone do's, tell them i said to kiss my hiney...POP.
While I'm not a big fan of double Z'ed frames, I do like the quality of your workmanship and the shinny paint. What did the dash come from?
rich the dash is 38 ford, funny i'm not the biggest fan of double z'd frames either but it seems like that's what everyone wants right now. before the project started i was really trying to get him to go with a 32 frame but this is what he wanted and for what it is i really like how it's coming out.
