I need a set of heads and an intake polished for my latest flathead project. We no longer have anyone here in Albuquerque doing it and I'm not really fond of the idea of doing it myself. Can anyone recommend a shop that still does it. I heard maybe there is one in Phoenix.

We have several shops here in Phoenix and one I've heard of in Tucson.

Are you sure there aren't any closer to you?

    Royal Plating - Tucson

    Kerr-West - Phoenix

    Fernando's Metal Polishing - Phoenix

There may be others, but these are the ones I've heard of and know people that have used them.

Google Squeakys Metal Polishing. He's in Kansas and does an excellent job. He has done a complete polish on a set of Offy heads and 2/2 intake for me, they looked like jewelry.

Check with Joe A. - I know he's switched polishers several times trying to find one he likes to do the parts for his blower kit. He might be sending them out of town, but I'll be damned if I can remember if he is and if so, where.

Contact these guys. http://www.kaehr.com/ They are the largest platers in your area (supposedly). Anyone that anodizes and plates a considerable amount of aluminum at some point has an in-house polisher or farms it out. If they won't do it, I would think they will be good for a lead anyway.

Sending the parts to Squeaky's, real resonable and a good reputation, thanks Krylon32 for the tip.

Yeah Ernie, I should of checked with Joe, he's fussy for sure and tight to boot:p so if he found someone he's happy with...

Kaehr only want big contract jobs and are very pricy if the do take it in. I've never been able to deal with them.
