they know what they did and they are hoping you are just going to go away. the shop could care less about your business too.

if they had been even remotely concerned, you'd have new rims already, a handshake from the manager/owner and an "i'm sorry that it happened, thank you for your business" apology.

i agree with zman, look before you leave.

at this piont, yoiu are at thier mercy so to speak.

yes, the wheels can be repaired, we do them all the time, and i agree that they most likely damages them, but if you go to court, you may take the beating for leaving without complaining.

it is also unlikey that a business owner is gonna make an insurance claim for a wheeel or two.

see how the repair works out, for ya and go from there. i alos like the idea of inspecting the machine for areas that could have caused the damage

that really a bummer having new wheels damaged. on the issue of remanufactured wheels i have been running one for 10+ years and couldn't tell which one it is on the vehicle if you asked. in the interim i would call the tire shop and ask them who their insurance carrier is as that would let them know your not just going away. making this right with a smile is really in their best interest.

My neighbor had two damaged wheels "restored" by some company in Dallas. Five day turnaround and you can't tell they had ever been broken. (Machined aluminum 16" wheels) I saw them before and thought there was NO WAY they could be fixed. He hit a curb at about 40mph dodging a dog.......

He told me it was this guy (a local tire store had the work done and mounted new tires)

Just Tire messed up two of my rims on the 55 Chevy and they advised me THAT day that they would REPLACE them ,everything was done in about ten days....

I wouldn't settle for REPAIRED rims in the above case OR in your situation !

    I agree with wetatt4u.
If you didn't begin with repaired wheels, why settle for repaired wheels now?
